Have you ever had one of those days where you look around and think, "Am I the only sane person here?"
Here’s a thought: It’s not that idiots surround you. You’re surrounded by people speaking different languages.
No, not French or Mandarin.
I’m talking about personality languages — the colors people move through the world in.
Let’s start with 🔴 Red — the Action-Oriented.
They move fast.
They talk fast.
They want fast.
Reds are direct, competitive, and all about getting things done.
They're already checking their watch if you’re dancing around a point.
Tip: Be clear. Be decisive. Skip the long setup. Get to it.
Then there’s 🟡 Yellow — the Social Butterfly.
Yellows bring energy to a meeting, even if it’s 7:00 AM.
They live for ideas, creativity, and connection.
They don't want a project plan first. They want to dream first.
Tip: Be positive. Let them brainstorm before you pull out the checklist.
Now meet 🟢 Green — the Harmony Seeker.
Greens are steady, loyal, and deeply caring.
But they hate conflict. Seriously, it keeps them up at night.
Push too hard, too fast, and you’ll lose them.
Tip: Be patient. Build trust one calm conversation at a time.
And then we have 🔵 Blue — the Detail Lover.
Blues are analytical, precise, and cautious. They’re not slow — they’re thorough. They need facts, not hype.
A rushed decision feels like standing on a trapdoor.
Tip: Slow down. Give them the structure and time they need.
💡 The big lesson?
Different colors. Different needs.
Same human worth.
If you adapt your style — just a little — you unlock better communication.
You open doors instead of banging your head against them.
Next time someone seems impossible to deal with, ask yourself:
"Am I speaking their language or just shouting louder in mine?"
Because you’re not surrounded by idiots. You’re surrounded by colors waiting to be understood.
Reflection:
Who’s one person you can connect with better this week by speaking their color language?
